ARIANNA ALEXIS
Multidiscplinary Artist, MFA

Arianna Alexis is visual artist and filmmaker known for her multidisciplinary and performative work that exhibits and reflects the duality of the body as a model and mechanical being. Encouraging the alienation of self, her work hones to body image, idealization, self discipline and representation of labor within fashion. She exhibits her artisanal abilities as one girl, one machine within a personal created ecosystem while challenging the narrative of identity and the feminine experience.

Arianna’s process materializes through the construction of garments (Couture), poetry, instrumental sound, videography, gouache on canvas, digital projections, and performance. Her body of work is an assemblage of analog and digital mediums as full compositions.

Influenced by the artist’s Louise Bourgeois, Vanessa Beecroft, Elsa Schiaparelli, and Joseph Cornell, referencing surrealism and the avant-garde.
